Alpine Navigation Units ??? Any Experience

hi there,

down here, we've been playing with 2 types of the alpine navigation systems ( forgot the models), but one directly integrates into the alpine W502 headunit screen and its pretty dam cool.

the other one is actually a stand alone which can also be integrated into the alpine HU. problem with this one is that, you'll leave the GPS unit in the glove box and the signal is pretty weak, so u'll have to buy an external GPS antenna to be more effective.

Problem kicks in when u have other stuff integrated into the system ( ie processor, blue tooth, etc etc), that's when things can get a little messy.

lastly, the only GPS i've played around with is an entry level garmin which i bought from walmart back when i was in UCLA in 2007.

that GPS brought me from La to Arizona and to the grand canyon and from La to sacremento. All directions were perfect.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
