alpine mrv-f545 gain settings?

Amp: Alpine MRV-F545

Gain range: 200mV - 4.0V

Now when I turn it to 200mV my music is the loudest and as I adjust it to 4.0V the music is really quiet.

Am I doing something wrong here? Shouldn't my music be the loudest when it's set at 4.0V?

Nope, 4 v is the input voltage. It means the amp requires 4V of input signal to reach it's full output potential. 200mv makes the gain more sensitive to input. What deck are you running..?

I'm using my stock deck for the M3.
