Alpine MRV-505

Hello,I have an Alpine MRV-505 4/3/2 amplifier i took it to my local car audio shop to find out if it was worth using,they told me it was to old and big and advised me to buy a new more compact amp,I have the space to mount it i was just wondering if its worth using for my 4 door speakers?Or should i take there advice and get a new one.

It's a good amp. I would run it over many amps they'd try and sell you.
