Got a 2015 Passat, pics only for attention.

Brutus Brx616.4 running 80 w rms x 4 @ 4 ohm

(30 a x2 fuses)

Brutus Brx1116.1d running 700 w rms x 1 @ 2 ohm

(60 a x 1 fuse)

Now should I get 120 amp fuse at the battery?

Not sure if I can get away with 4 gauge power wire or will I need 2 awg into 4 awg from the amps.

According to the calculations depending on the length. I need a 2 awg but a 150 a fuse.

* Total RMS Wattage times 2, then divided by 13.8 Volts equals Current Draw in Amperes

I'd run GOOD 4 awg to a D-block and 8's to each amp, but going larger is never a bad thing.

The size of your fuses has less to do with the amps and more to do with the size of your wire.

Good 4 awg can be fused at 120. Fusing lower is fine, just don't fuse higher.

Good 2 awg is good for up to 200A, but with those two amps I'd still fuse it at ~120. There's no reason to go higher, and having it lower just means a little more protection if the wire is ever shorted.

Those 60A amplifiers would probably never blow a 40A fuse unless you played a few minutes worth of full volume sine waves.

I've been running a 100A main fuse with 1500w rms (accurate to conservative ratings) worth of amp power for several yrs now.

Agreed. The Brutus Brx616.4 won't pull much current unless you're running it as a 2 channel sub woofer amp into dual 4 ohm mono loads. If you're using it for mids and highs it doesn't need too much current.

Yep, at the amplifiers. I get the same 14.7 volt reading when they cutoff too.

Yes, they are painted. The cover is very easy to take off and repaint to whatever color of choice to match the install.

How I would approach it is install your new amplifier and start using it. Install a voltage gauge and if you see your voltage lowering then add...
