Alpine MRP-MRX240 vs RF T1500

To run two of the new model alpine type R 12's (1000W RMS). There is no peak rating that I can find for the alpine amp but the rockford fosgate has around 1630 or something. Since at 2 ohms the alpine amp does 2400W x 1 it would be giving each sub 1200W. Going with the T1500 and the peak output it would only get ~ 800 watts per. I know 300W isn't that big of a difference but that's a 400W diff. and that's just going off the RMS power rating for the alpine amp. So therefore would I be able to hear the difference from the apline amp compared to the rockford fosgate one?
