Alpine mrp-m2000 amp cutting out

So I have a 2005 crew cab silverado. I have thrown a 15" l7 solobaric kicker in the rear to replace one of my seats, it is wired at 2ohm and puts out 1000w rms. I have an alpine mrp-m2000 amp, wired with 0 gauge and a 175amp fuse. I have also bought a High output alternator rated at 320amps, with this upgrade I have also completed the "BIg 3" upgrade in 0 gauge. I am running all this with a JVC avx840 head unit. CUrrently I have the gain set to the lowest end.

Anytime I get the volume to about 20 out of 50 the amp starts to cut out and i cannot figure out why. Is it possible that i need a second battery. I was under the impression that a 320 amp alternator would easily be able to power a 1000w sub. What could be the problem here?

That's your problem. Doesn't matter what the sub is rated at. The amp is still drawing current. More than 1000 worth. But even with one batt and a HO alternator I wouldn't think it would cut out, I ran my AQ2200 in my truck. No big 3 no HO alt, just a bi *** extra battery and I dipped to the low 12s but that was it.

Well loose connections were my first thought. But I've checked them all a few times. And it only happens when the volume goes past s certain point

So i rechecked my ground Again... It is self tapped to the cab floor under a seat. I scraped all the paint off the selp tapped it. I checked this connection with a multimeter and it read 0.6 ohms.

I'm thinking that's a little. I'm gonna try to move the ground through the cab floor to the frame.

Hopefully this will help...
