alpine mrd-m1005 any good ???

please help i have a hifonix brutus 16005 and it sucks im running it at 2 ohms ?? bass knob doesnt work not good at all...... my question is a friend gave me a alpine mrd-m1005 anybody know about these ?????? are they true 1000 watt rms at 2ohms ?
