Alpine IVA-W505 HD Radio Problems!!!

So I just picked up the HD Radio tuner for my IVA-W505 and I'm having crazy problems.

The HD stations on the radio are all getting picked up and they display all the info the screen but there is no sound output. So you can clearly see what station you are trying to listen to and song you are trying to hear, but you just can't hear them. On top of all that I hooked up my iPod to HD tuner so I try tagging songs but now my iPod says that there is an unsupported accessory hooked up to it and it wont play. Can someone please help me before I finally go crazy.
