Alpine Ipod Error (PLEASE_HELP)

First things first I'm a noob forgive me. I just installed my Alpine IDA-X305 also Alpine KTP-445 power pack. sounds great install was a pain.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif I don't have the USB/IPod connecter it came with but I have the extender that goes from the back of the HU. I tried using my Apple USB Cord And Error code Came up NO USB DEVICE. Using Iphone 4 Version 5.0.1. Update.... Bought the alpine USB IPOD Connecter. 30 bucks later everything's working 30$ for a usb cable come on alpine your slippin

Not if they change the pins around between the USB and the headunit making them proprietary.
