Alpine iDA-X305.... Good or Bad?

Just wanted to know what people think of the Alpine iDA-X305 before I buy it. I NEVER listen to CD's... I was looking into the Pioneer version thats a 1.5 din, but I read that people complain about the slow scrolling when the ipod is hooked up. Is the alpine any faster? Because I would rather have a 1.5 din, so that I dont have to buy an adapter kit and have it look cheezy..... I have a 2000 silverado.... thanks everyone!!

never had the 305, but i did have the x001 and also the x100 and imprint. i did not like the sq of either unit. my jvc kd-sh1000 and kenwood x993 both have better sq imo (and the kenwood ipod interface is excellent).

didn't care for the alpine iDA series when I heard them, they made speakers sound like cheap headphones.

I have a CDA-9887 in my '08 Silverado (it was in my '99 Silverado until the ****** blew) and I love it...of course, I almost NEVER use the CD, so it would be nice if Alpine came out with a non-CD version of the 9887 with more iPod upgrades. Nay on the IDA's at least until they get it right...Yay on the CDA's, and if you want to run USB and Ipod, the new CDA-105 fits the bill with great sq..
