i am going to get an alpine HU but i would like to know the models you all recommend, and i want to find one that has a tilt capability. i know the 9830 does, but my friend has that one and i dont want the same....suggestions?

9853/55 have tilt...its a good HU...no direct bass/treble controls which throws some people off but seriously...I hate just direct "bass" and "treble" controls...I like the equalizers alot better...

my '53 is nice and I dont plan on selling it anytime soon

im with you guys. very nice finish to the deck. no extras. u can trun the internal amp off. just a great allaround entry level deck. has sub volume

I used to have a 7897, loved it! Turned the internal amp off, and it was great. That got me thinking... and I made the switch to the 7998. I just put a 7995 in my girlfriends car, and it is a killer headunit too! 7995's can be had for cheap, too. They all have the tilt function you're after.
