Alpine HU help, ipod playback..

There's one thing really annoying the hell out of me.. My ipod music is grouped by "album artist" which makes searching for music on the ipod very easy, however on the alpine head unit, it groups songs under "track artist". With having alot of albums that have various artists, it is very cumbersome searching songs while driving when having to scroll through a list of possibly thousands of artists. Is there a way to have my head unit sort by album artist without having to retag the track artist info?
