Hi everyone my names andy and im new here ..

, ive got an alpine cde 177 bt which lists as 4x50w output.

im wanting some good speakers for it without going thru an amp.

whats a good set, and should 50 w be reasonably loud with good clarity .

im so confused with speakers as a 1000w pair of speakers is like 950 w over what my head unit can deliver so what would it sound like thru them ..?

any help or advice will be greatly appreciated..

thanks in andvance

andy

max/peak power ratings are for a split second. rms/continuous power ratings is what the device really puts out or what speakers/sub can really handle

your Alpine probably only puts out 20 watts rms

Any indication that a loose wire may be the issue? I'd start by checking all the +/- connections to see if one has come lose or is starting to...

Umm the sub outputs. It's brand spanking new with an install booklet etc.

Giving subs more power really wakes them up. The MRP-500 is pretty low power. You would really notice more authority in your bass.
