Alpine Head Unit to iPod Question

Ok, I did the search, but can't find the answer.

I have an alpine head unit, model number CDM-9821, and i was wondering if its compatible with the KCA-420i Alpine Interface?

I can't find that answer anywhere. I know i can get the AI to RCA adapter and hook up the ipod that way, but the point is, i would prefer to connect it with the KCA-420i to eliminate having to mess with the iPod while driving and just control the whole thing from the head unit.

No, that deck uses M-bus, and the KCA-420i uses AiNet.

soooo the connection on the back of my unit is an m-bus then?? so even when if i need the cable just to connect the changer or something i should get the m-bus?
