please ban me
i just installed an alpine cda-9830 and it is freakin awesome. lots of features and tuning options.
this is the first time for me to tune an equalizer and have a few questions. it has 4 bands with each band containing 3-5 frequencies.
band 1..........40-60-90 hz
band 2...........100-150-200 hz
band 3..........500-700-1000-2000-5000 hz
band 4.........10,000- 12,5000-15,000 hz
i want to boost the frquency of 40 hz to about 7+ but i only want to boost the frequency of 90 hz to about 3+, but when i save the setting of one frquency it changes the other frequencys within that band to the same setting. for instance, if i set 40 hz to 7+, then 60hz and 90 hz will also be set 7+. is that how it is supposed to work? I thought i would be able to tune each individual frequency within the band and not just the band as a whole.
also could someone please explain the (Q) bandwidth thing. it has setting of 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 and i have no idea what this means.
thanks
