I have recently installed a Alpine D106 in my truck and I wanted to bypass the video block. I was told to purchase a periphial PTR7, which I did. I hooked it up the way the directions say to for an alpine video bypass yet it doesn't seem to work.
I followed the directions exactly, hooked up my ground and 12 volt. turned the unit on, turned my truck on, grounded the brown wire twice, it flashed 3 times and then fast for 3 seconds. turned off the PTR7, then hooked up the green wire to the alpine remote wire. then the foot brake wire next and then the hand brake wire after.
What am I doing wrong cause I pop in a DVD and nothing, no video from the ipod either.
do I have to engage something on the head unit, bypass, anywhere?
Thanks
