Alpine D106 Fan Loud?

Does anyone have similar problems with the D106 fan being on the loud side? My 105, 9887, 9885 were the same way. You think they would have resolved this!

I know I can hear the fan running in my 9853 alpine head unit when the volume is turned to 0. I figure it is just doing its job.

Yep going on 3 years of daily use and it makes just as much noise now as it did the first day I installed it.
