I have had an 880prs sitting in my room for the last year and now I want to install it in my new ride. I know they have had problems in the past with these units getting an alternator whine when not grounded properly, so I read that lots of people make separate grounds for these units to ground to the car chassis. I fashioned one of these, but had one question as to where to ground it. Is it ok to put both the origional PRS ground and the gound that I made in the same place in the chassis of the car or should they be separate? Thanks. Here is a pic to illustrate the new ground that I made.

Also, is it necessary that I run the yellow battery cable all of the way to my battery or can it simply be connected to the wiring harness that I purchased.
