OPINIONS??

F-1 STATUS! lol...sheeeeeeyat! those are too exspensive, just get the type x if you're determined on alpine. Will save a pretty penny from the F1-series! If you're THAT strapped for cash i just say save up and don't get the "lower" line. It'll save money in the long run. You know, not buying stuff to hold you over, then upgrade it once you get more money, then want more and change your whole setup after you sold the original. Then you're dis-satisfied with your new stuff and want your old, but you already sold it and then you're in a world of car-audio-whorism to get the dough you need! You'll be all like //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cuddle.gif.bd1b29c179c0482f8313dbd790b74c94.gif :boobies: //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cuddle.gif.bd1b29c179c0482f8313dbd790b74c94.gif then you get your money and be like //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/satan.gif.9c6a335ed7aeeed3ee273e573f1fcaac.gif i got dough! then you'll spend it again and be like //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/offwall.gif.29a91b9b265d47af4b8e33fc5b558d18.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryexcited.gif.c26a15f316d23068607f36ddacd7a7ab.gif Then you realize you don't like it after you spend more money and time on a custom enclosure! and be like... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/bawling.gif.6287aa5d1d447c8af063fc9466e822ef.gif Ok, enough with the animated story, time for history class!

P.S. I'm letting your other thread die, but for 6x9 in the rear...Blaupunkt, get the see-through ones (no more than $50) They don't have much midbass, but the highs are pretty **** clear!

can't anyone help me with what components 2 go with?? and if any1 says CDT im guna throw up n get angry cuz they don't sell them in australia for the 1,000,000 's time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Umm...there's a few differences from what I was told between the A's and the R's. A is last year's model and R is this years. The A's have a blue cone on the mid-bass woofer. Where as the R's have a graphite colored one. They upped the RMS to 75 for the R's. They have new cases for the crossovers. I don't know if they changed anything in the crossover, but they at least changed the case!

I already own the Type-X SPX-177(A)'s iz it worth selling them and upgrading to the SPX-177® ' s ????
No its not, the crossover I belive is the same, just redesigned to be smaller, the RMS rating was always way too low, so they just raised it, still the same exact drivers. Only reason I could see upgrading is because the crossover is smaller and looks better, but in most cases it doesn't matter.

Just a word of advice, dont' mount your x-over in your door. A resistor fell off of mine.

get INFINITYS!!!! But I would not sell your components to get ones that may be a little better imo and instead save yourself some money.
You apparantly don't know what the hell you are talking about, because those type-x's even out perform the perfects.

In to say the Infinity Perfects ARE NOT the way to go. Unless you like going deaf from ear shattering tweeters, which, mind you, are absolutely accurate and amazing at low volumes but plain annoying when played loud.

Can someone tell me what the difference in sound those components have (Type S, Type R, Type X)? In terms of the lows, midbass, midrange, and how the tweets sound? I tried looking at a few local audio stores today but couldnt even find any of these.
