Alpine CDA-9856 vs Eclipse 8445

Which of the two would you go with?

I want something that has full iPod control, hooks up for bass, front stage, HD/serius/xm would be nice, but not necessary.

Its 100 for 9856 and 8445 probablly 150

I am not sure how the Ipod control is set up on the 8445 but I know the Alpine full speed is good. The 8445 is a good HU. I have not personally used a 8445, but I have used and still have an 8455. The 8445 meets all your other wants. I like the older eclipse HU.

I do not believe the 8445 has Ipod control or does it.

However, I memory serves me right here the 8445 will go full active with T/A, Eq, X-over. The 9856 will not some one correct me if I am wrong.

Hmm I guess with the 8445 I can just hook the iPod up to the AUX and it will sound fine. Can't be worse than the radio one im using right now. Hmm, I still like the idea of having full iPod control through the head unit. Maybe I can find a better Alpine?

Sorry for a double post here. But what would be a big difference between the 9835 and say CD7000. Which is better I guess. And does the 9835 blow the 9856 out of the water or something? Considering its 2x the price, and also does the CD7000 GPS extra unit thingy you buy seperate allow for full GPS?

I would go with the eclipse, and trust me I owned a 9836 for about a year.

the 2v preouts and not-as-good EQ kills it
