I was just checkin some of these out on Ebay..It said they can display CDR/CDW text..Which I think is pretty kick ass..But would you need to buy a CD changer unit to have that feature? Cause some of the sellers on here make it sound like its all built into the head unit while others claim you need to purchase a changer..Can someone clear this up?

this cd player requires an external amp to power it. and when they say it will read cd-r/cd-rw text that means it will read any custom cds you make with text enabled. Nero is one i can think of that has this feature.

you won't need a changer for the cd text to work. that's inside the h/u. like mattj said though, you'll need an external amp as the 7995 has no internal one and you have to enable text on your burner the the deck to have anything to read.

Well forget that..I know nothing about enabling my burner to do the whole text deal..I could go with the 7893 ..Is it any diffrent from the 7795??..Can it play CDR's(my main concern)??..+ with the 7893 id be savin atleast $200 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i believe the 7893 will play cdr/w but not as mp3's. as far as your burner and text goes, depending on the program it should just be an option you turn(click) on.

one of the biggest differences(other than text and mp3) is the internal amp is different between the two, the 95 not having one. so you won't need an external amp w/the 93. other than a few other cosmetic things, you should be just as happy with the 93 as you would the 95.

the 7893 plays all but mp3s and does not show text thats on the 7895

and the 7893s amp is 27watts rms wich is higher than most(are 19 to 22rms)

i love my 93 im running infinity ref wich are 60 rms and they sound great

i like more power but oh welll maybe later ill add an amp but im happy for now

DUDE...Alright..So ur sayin that all the songs i download (which are mp3 formats) and put on a CDR wont work??!!?

You can burn songs onto a cd, and it will display cd text but you have to enable it

The alpine mp3 players will display id3 tags so you dont have to enable anything on any burner for them to be displayed.

yep, if u burn them as mp3's! you have to burn them as,uh, (brain fart, little help plz) music files. anyway, ur burner program should give u the option on which way to burn them at the start. otherwise the 95 is the way to go!!

the alpine 7894 is an mp3 player that i have and if you hook it directly up to your battery youll recive a peak of 60x4 to your speakers....if you dont have an external amp for the 7995, the 7894 is the way to go.

Ive had none with mine...its been more than excelent. Ever since my first alpine (cda-7875) ill never go back to anything else. well mabye id go for nak or eclipse or an indash tv //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

the 7894 has all the features of the 7995, only with an internal amp.
