Alpine 9887 randomly won't play iPod?

My iPod has worked fine with this head unit for a while...and now it says that it is connected but no sound will come out. The songs are displayed on the head unit but still no noise...

My CDA-105 did that with my ipod a few weeks ago. Take the ipod out of the truck for a day, mine usually did that or had error occur when exposed to extreme hot or cold(keeping it in the car).

Mine did it for 2 days and i ended up removing unit, put it back in like 4 days later and it started working again. I suggest a night out of the car and then reset the unit.

I thought the same with mine but once i reset the unit it worked fine. I even tryed using a apple cable, it showed it as reading the ipod but just no music would ever come out.
