i would go with the Eclipse, a few more features and only $20 more than the Alpine. I have an Eclipse CD3000 thats about a year old, and I love it. easy to use controls and great sq. I highly recommend Eclipse products

I bought the Eclipse and have to return it because of the Ipod cable in back wont allow the head unit to fit in my dash. Just a thought if you have limited space behind your h/u.

Thanks for the input //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I have the Alpine CDA-9884 and it is a great HU. However, if I could do it again I would have gotten the CDA-9886 bc of the preout voltage. And for that reason I say go for the Eclipse because it has a 5volt preout and mine (CDA-9884) only has 2volt preout.
