alpine 9855 or alpine 9857

hey all,

I have an alpine 9855 deck in my truck now and was wondering if i should sell it and purchase the new alpine 9857. Is it worth trading my 9855 in for this? I know some people have said that alpine's 06 line has sortof gone down hill, so I don't know if I should keep the 9855 or buy a 9857.

I personally think the 9855 and 9857 are both junk

The older non gaytouch alpines were so much better

YOU DONT LIKE THE 9855 BECAUSE OF MINE. Its a decent HU, just a royal pain in the *** to tune. 9857=POS.

get the 55. back in the day people were having a lot of problems with the glide touch bar but since then alpine has fixed the bugs.

yes, it's not as intuitive as a 9835 but its much better, feature and function wise) than the 9857.

higher model numbers don't equal better alpine HU's. For example, most people would say my alpine 9815 is much better than the 9855. They'd say the same about the 9835 being better than the 9855 too.
