Alpine 9855 not working...

Hooked up a new system and plugged everything in... and my **** HU isn't working

the sub is very quite that it is hooked up to and the only way i figured out to make it work is to turn off the "Power IC" thing which i don't know what that is... and turn the volume up all the way... and it still isn't that loud after that, also when i turn that off i lose my door speakers so that sucks... does anyone know what is up with my HU or what is going on?

My friend who helped me install my system and hooked up everything made my system work for a short bit before i ended up having to drive 2hrs back to where i live, he had to take a HU that he had laying around and hooked it up to my amp and it worked fine... then i plugged my RCAs in and messed with it on the long *** ride back home and well got home and didn't figure out much except that the RCAs are plugged in the back and I think i hate this HU...

the power ic is the HU internal amp. if you are running speakers off the HU keep the power ic on.. You may have to reset your gains for the sub out. read the amp gains tutorial sticky on the top of the page in the amp section

exact same thing when I installed my 9835, my conclusion is that the alpine powers my speakers a whole lot more than my deck before that (lower end pioneer). anyways, make sure the sub level is all the way up on the alpine, go to the x-overs and put everything down but the sub, put the sub all the way up. now listen to your music and increase the rest of the xovers until you get the sound you want, but the sub should sound like it did before, if you still aren't getting enough sub output mess with the equalizer and put the lows all the way up too, just play around with it.
