Alpine 9833 question

Ok so I just got my Alpine 9833 along with some other stuff installed at my local shop, and I notice that my Alpine deck does not power down when I turn the car off. Instead, I have to manually hit the power button on the deck before turning the car off each time. How can I make it so the deck turns off when the car is turned off and on when the car is turned on? Additionally, when I turn the deck off, it still reamins illuminated, even when the car is turned off. There's probably a simple setting for this somewhere but I can't find it, any suggestions?

if its staying on after you turn the car off then they have wired it straight to the battery.

If you can pull it out and do the following. Yellow wire with fuse straight to battery, red wire to accessory 12v or ignition source.

Do you have a VW or audi? Alot of german cars are like that. It could be that or that the power wire on the amp(if you had one installed) is touching the remote wire. That happened to me

First make sure the deck doesn't (eventually) turn off. My 7997 takes a 15 seconds or so before it turns off and closes after the car is off. If this isn't the case, did you ask the people who installed it if they'll fix it? If not, why? If you paid them to do a job, they should do it right. I don't think they'll have a problem doing so.
