Alpine 9831/ Pioneer 860

Ive never used an alpine deck, mainly Pioneer and Panasonic.

I know many of you have used both, or are quite familiar with both.

Im replacing a Pioneer 860MP with the 9831, looking for general thoughts or opinions on the change....

when looking at the spec the pioneer 860 seem superior in every aspect except signal to noise ration and th ealpine is both sirius and xm ready

the 860 is more comparable to the 9833 and 9835.

you're downgrading IMO.

Gotta 8600, love the graphics and controls, wouldnt trade it for nuthin

i know my 860 says xm ready i dunno bout sirus thought id keep the 860 if its warantied so if the preouts blow you can send it back and when it comes back its better than ever

cuz it would be less likely to blow again and im sure it was checked for other problems while getting fixed

No, not less likely to blow again. The same thing could happen again, no more likely no less likely.

And they dont check for problems other than what you list.
