alpine 9815 intermittent power

i just got around to installing my alpine 9815 and it worked fine for about 3 weeks and then when i was driving the power starting coming and going very quickly. the unit's lights and power were flashing very quickly. it has continued to do this intermittently for about a week now.

i have checked my connections (they are soldered). since i am using an amplifier, i have my connections to the cars electrical system not directly to the battery and they are very secure. i am thinking if it could be the faceplate connection to the unit??? has anybody heard of this problem before?? thanks.

try cleaning the faceplate connector...it might be. if all your connections are solid, i'd either suspect that, or the head unit itself.

I would imagine it would have somethig to do with internal components, unless you are receiving bad current from your electrical system I would say the headunit is at fault, and I would imagine your electrical system is fine, on a side note I have had problems with my mx control working off and on as well and I am miffed as to why
