Alpine 9813 with 9833 face?

Does anyone know if an Alpine 9813 will work with a 9833 face?

Nobody has ever tried a different face with their alpine head unit??

i think you could do that with the older alpines such as 7856 and 7857

but i havent heard any thing about newer alpines...

doesnt work tried my 9835 on a 9813 with nothing happening..
