ok thank thats all i wanted to kno was just trying to see if someone had a manual they could scan and email

i did a search on google and there was a link but it was dead. and alpine says

Please verify you have entered the correct Alpine model number.
Your entry "CDA-9813" could not be found. Your product model may not have been found because it may be an older legacy product or ther are no assets available at this time. If you require an owner's manual, and can not find it in the system you may order a printed version through Parts.

i dont think anyone is going to be able to scan and email the manual as it is quite large (at least my 9831 was, it was almost like a magazine lol). you might be able to find an archived one online somewhere, but i haven had any luck yet.

and could you possibly tell me how you can adjust the bass engine or at least get in to it

i dont even know as i haven't messed with that unit. so long as you stay specific someone should help you out.

To get to the MX and Bass engine you need to toggle the "defeat option"...Push in the rotary knob I think 4 times and you will see an option called defeat. Toggle this and you will be able to access the MX and EQ options.

Hold down the middle (X-over) button for about 3 seconds and you get to the crossover. If you push in the EQ button, then push and hold it, you can personalize the different EQ bands. Hold in a number (1-6) to save those settings for quick changing if needed.
