Alpine 9813 - Mids/Tweets cut out

Much as the subject suggest.. The sound on my mids/tweets cuts out on my Alpine 9813. At factory settings for the X-Over the "voices" will cut out at about volume of 24-25. I did the over the top install and ran the 10 AWG wire for the head unit. I did do some reading before the post and I am running the deck as my only x-over for mids/tweets and sub even though most agree it isnt the way to go. Im just not sure that will cause the vol. to cut out. I also have the EQ set to flat. Any ideas?
