Hope this is the right forum to post this question.
I have an Alpine CDA-7892 installed and working great. It includes the Alpine XM tuner T020XM, which connects to the HU via Alpine's AI-NET.
My question is which is the best way to connect an MP3 device to the 7892 HU?
The CDA-7892 includes an Auxillary 'source' option, which I think are stereo RCA inputs connected to the back of the HU itself. But the XM tuner includes an AI-NET input connector which isn't being used.
So I think there are two methods to connect my MP3 player to the HU (I'll need an adapter for the AI-NET option). What are the pros and cons of each option? And how can I select this new input from the HU controls?
The HU owner's manual, and Apline's web site don't provide any details whatsover. Any help or suggestions is much appreciated.
Thanks,
