I have an Alpine 7864 which is basically the same as the 7863. I am kind of new to the whole car audio thing so I was wondering if there was a way to hook an ipod up to it? I have read about the Aux port but will it work with this model? Anyone have this head unit and play songs off their ipod from it?

hi... if it is Ai-Net compatible, then you could buy a Ai-Net -> Aux cable, i believe Alpine made some, but there are even the "unoficials" versions of such cable that suit just fine...
