Haven't heard the alpines. RSD's are pretty decent, sound good, take some power. Liked my Pioneer rev's but they crapped out on me, better SQ but no where near the power handling of the rsds.

Got one of my ID oem 6.5"'s in so far. Can tell they are gonna blow both away in terms of sound quality and loudness.

I just got the RSD comp set and their 4" coax. I have heard neither the PGs or the Alpines, but I trusted the forum on the RSD boner...

pioneer TS-D1720C is my vote. I had both the pg rs'd and the pioneers and the pioneers have a much nicer sound and are around the same price.

I ran an older set of TypeR 5.25s for years and loved them.. I just took them out and they were still going strong.. The new Rs eat power like crazy..

If you have the money go with the pros, they are great..
