alpine 5 channel amp...need help!

Hey guys!

Okay,I have an alpine mrv-f353 4 channel + 1 for subwoofer that I am using for my highs. I am not going to be using that fifth subwoofer channel since I already have another amp for my woofers.

Since I am using the alpine amp for my highs only I just wanted to know if it is possible to use the fifth subwoofer channel to power my rear 6x9's.

Can you just run the rca's from the rear speaker output on the deck and connect it to the subwoofer input on the amp or would that not work due to it being a mono signal? My plan would be to use 'y' adapters to connect the front speaker output on the deck and connect it to the front and rear input on the amp to power all of my front speakers, then use that subwoofer out for my rear speakers.

Appreciate the help!

just use y adapters on the rear output of the radio and plug them into the sub output. But you'll probably only get bass out of them depending on your radio.
It will have nothing in the world to do with his radio.

The sub output on that amp only offers a frequency response suitable for subwoofer usage - it isn't a full-range output. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

To ant23 ~

If the ByNines you're talking about are something along the lines of the Tang Band 6"x9" subs then your idea would work fine.

If they are full-range coaxials, however, it's not going to result in a positive outcome...
