Alpine 16 pin wiring

Alright...ive looked all over the place and havent found it yet, so I thought I would ask here. I am installing my friends alpine HU tomorrow, but i have the wiring harness to solder today. I would like to get it done while i have free time, but i realized i forgot to look and see which wire is what. I have the wiring diagram for the car adapter thing, but I dont have it for the alpine 16 pin white harness. Someone help me please. Its been a long time since ive done a HU so i cant remember which wire is which..haha

find the manual for the headunit and it'll be in the back.

yeah, i know that... and i believe it is actually on the top of the HU itself, but i dont have either of those..haha. I just wanted to get it out of the way before he comes tomorrow since I had the free time today. but oh well....it can wait until tomorrow. Thanks anyways

yeah....i looked briefly but didnt see it.... i probably just looked over it. BUTTTT i got it all worked out. He was able to do it tonight, so i just "finished" it. There are billions of problems with it though...

The car harness thing had 2 yellow wires, instead of a yellow and a red. (battery, and ignition) So, i tried it a ton of different ways, and the HU stayed on like it was wired directly to the battery. Any ideas to fix that?

The other problems were just due to lack of light, and we are gonna fix those tomorrow morning.

Not sure which model you have but this is from my cda 9833 i just reinstalled in my wifes 4runner.

Its a 2002 VW GTI. the only thing i could thing of was that the stock radio stayed on, even after turning off the ignition. It turned off when you take the key out of the ignition. Could this play a part in my problem???
