I have a 1 channel Alpine M-350 amp.......(already bridged internally?)
Trying to hook up sub (dual voice coil).....
The wiring guide that came with the sub shows hooking up + on one coil, - to the other, and then jump + to +, - to -..........But installer says that would make it run 1 ohm, since amp is bridged.....Guide shows that that would be 2 ohm....but may be talking about a 4 ohm amp (mine will do both) that is four channel.....
So for now, I hooked the leads up to one side, and jumped to the second coil....
Any insight? I'm an old timer, last true system I had was a Concord tape deck, 2 RF Punch 45s, with crossovers in 1985...!!!......(First sub system sold in my town back then! ) Anybody remember M&M subs?!!!LOL
