Alphasonik Mayhem PSW915 With This Amp... Will It Handle It?

Hey everyone! I am building my first setup here, and I have found this subwoofer that I would like to have. The subwoofer is rated at 2500RMS watts, and I was thinking of getting the AP30001D amp, which is 3000RMS. I guess my real question would be, well, will the subwoofer handle what this amp can throw at it? Or Would the amp be underrated and it would be ok? I read alot of threads on the amp, and it seems by far amazing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif, I was swayed to it from my previous amp that I had in mind, the Power Acoustik BAMF5500. I only want to run 1 15" subwoofer do to some space limitations, but it seems like it would be more than enough. The car will be run with an optima yellow top, it has a 130A Alternator, and I will be putting an 18 Farad Capacitor on it. With this setup, will it be an OK match? Forgive me, Im still learning as I go here, and any kind of advice from the experts would make my day. Lose the capacitor - first off; worse for your electrical in the long run.

You'll probably see 2200-2300 watts rms from that amp with that electrical/impedance rise/music dynamics.

What subwoofer are you looking at by the way? Make sure the impedance matches up, aswell.

You will need atleast one additional battery, and that's a small alt - so you might wanna upgrade that too.

The mayhem can't handle that much power. I'd say 1,800 watts rms should be a safe rating.
