Alphard audio 5500

the parts sharing seems to be a recurring theme as of late. I guess PPI was making internals for other companies back in the day too, so nothing new just seems a tad more common nowadays
It's not parts sharing. There are 2 good amp build houses in Korea. They have a catalog. You pick what you want.

If you want proprietary it cost more. Like Incriminator and DD.

Woah there boss 7-8k is way more than I need lol

always have more than you need. There's no reason to settle for less. You can always run lower gains which allows your amp to run cooler making it last longer.

An amp working at 100-110% will not last as long as an amp working at 75% purely due to amount of heat generated by theory.

I'd say for the same price, get a vital power 7k instead. paying 1200 for a 5k instead is basically ripping yourself off and getting it in the butthole. That vital power is very underrated.

I was just looking to stay in the 5-6k range, the twisted sounds looked good also, call it noobish but I got caught up on alphard's remote with the temp, voltage, and clipping limiter

no dude thats one thing that is the worst about alphard products. VERY faulty bass remotes. We had some made the amp go into protect, some even made the subs have constant loud popping noises and had a few that were just dead on arrival. DO NOT trust your amps to those remotes they are EXTREME garbage. AGAIN GARBAGE!!!!!

Just because you have 7k doesnt mean you have to use all 7k. Just use 5k of the 7k there is no issue in that. You get cleaner power with a better running amp vs a 5k working its @ss off to provide enough power for your subs. Which do you think will be healthier, sound louder and cleaner and last longer? If you want to run 5k then get the brutal sounds because the price is a good deal. no sense in paying 1200 dollars for a 5k amp when you can get 7k for 1200. Or the same quality 5k for 800.

That's why I'm upgrading to a 5-6k my 2 subs are 1500 rms each and I might start competing local and semi-local and the 7k would put me in a higher class I do welcome all feedback and am listening, I'm not going to just buy.

I had a DC 7.5k wired at 1ohm and I clamped 3600 watts out of it lol. Rise is a mother fricker lol... if u can get a 7k amp for the price of a 5k amp and it's a reliable Board design it's a no brainer to have head room on your power.
