All this with a stock alternator?

Here's what I have. Single 12' L5 with a Viper D600.1 (600rms @ 1ohm)

Here's what I'm getting - Another 12' L5 and another Viper 600, or if I cant find one something similar.

Is this too much for a stock alternator? Or maybe i'll just need a cap. I've heard some people say caps are pretty much useless and are only good for fixing light dimming.

as far as i know a cap wont fix light dimming. a cap is just a way for power to get discharged faster than a battery can. Works for about 1 bass hit and then it blows its load and the batter y and alt need to recharge it. that doesnt take less strain off the alt which is powering the battery and now a cap. upgrading your wiring system from the 8/6ga used by the factoiry to 1/0 will put the alt's power back to the battery faster and should improve light dimming problems. however if you see dimming still occuring then you need to look into an alternator upgrade and perheps a 2nd battery. I dont think with 600 watts that would be the case though I think upgrading your "big 3" would solve the problem.
