All hooked up, low output...

I have my amp hooked up, gains set as close to 31.6v as possible, etc...but my output is very low, like very little bass. The 50hz Cd track sounds good and deep, but when listening to music you cannot tell there is a sub in the car. Could this have anything to do with my ground? I was questioning it when I was hooking everything up.

Also, maybe the 50hz CD sounds good because it is all low frequencies, but sounds like crap compared to what it should.

You never mentioned the enclosure, which is a substantial factor...
