I was looking into getting the mm6501's for my 6.5 for my 08 altima, but i'm reading other reviews for around same amount of doe or less I could find something that sounds better even if it has less watt rms than the 125 polks. Any considerations and why b4 I make a purchase. I'm just getting into car audio again so, I just dont wanna buy something that sounds like crap.. I originally has the db polks tweeters were dinging my ears at first but then sounded good after couple weeks. Athough I had a lot of problems with them blowing or just stop working as far as the setup. The compotents didnt have a lot of midbass and it could be because I didnt use a baffle to keep em dry, im not sure if it has other uses. As far as dynomatting or what ever that stuff is, What exactly is it for to stop vibrations or to direct sound or what? Thanks in advance.

what is b stock? Like refurbs, or is it where they screwed up making it so they sell em cheaper? sorry im not sure lol.. I never heard of cdt b4 whats the feedback on em?

I think they are imperfect fresh from the factory, but you could call that 800# and ask to be sure.

Thats why they talk about the off colored baskets on the mids, but those will be inside the door anyway.

They have a couple other sets on their site as well.

The Pioneer TS-D1720C components I'm running in the Jeep sing incredibly off 70 RMS. I paid less than $120 for them, shipped, brand new. I'd recommend Pioneer's D series or PRS series to anyone.

Those look like a killer deal, but I don't know about the 3 way design or that hard dome tweeter. I've never really been a fan of hard dome tweeters or ring radiator tweeters (inverted dome). I've always like soft dome tweeters. They're not usually as bright as hard domes.

Should have these hooked up by the end of the week.

Read the review on there by Nizzy. Basically says the mids are harsh but switch phase on them to get it better. Tweets also harsh but -3db on the x-over fixes it. Good mid bass the reason I bought them.

Only issues is placement/finding a spot for the mid/tweet. I'm going to play around with a couple spots to see what sounds best for me. I have a spot for the tweet in the sail. So will test that with mid in door or A pillar. Then try mid/tweet in A pillar also to see which sounds best.

lol me 2 I ordered a set a few days ago, and Mike(AMI) is making me some pods for them...

Okay guys, I called locally, and to my knowledge not everyone here has heard the polks or familiar with them. The ones who have think they are a good comp set, but wee bit pricey. I had 2 shops both mention the pioneer Pioneer TS-D1720C and the Kicker 08KS650.2 or the Kicker 05KS6.2. The only differences in the kickers is I think one is oversized at 6-3/4 and im not sure if they will fit my 08 altima sedan's front door mounts. Any input on these speakers for price let me know. To me, it is more practical right now to save money and get decently good speakers rather than 200 dollar polk mm's. And to tell you the truth I had the db set in my tacoma before I wrecked it, they wasn't all that. Thanks again for all the replies. Help me out good fellas.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

The TS-D1720C comps are 6.75s. I had to trim my speaker adapter bracket to make them fit. I do recommend them though. They put out a ton o midbass. The crossovers are really high quality. The tweeters are also soft dome tweeters with a rear chamber to help with lower frequencies. They play down to 2500 Hz pretty well. That helps raise the stage and also blend vocals a little better.
