So I've had alot of help 2 to 3 people and all there information is great I just want to hear other people's advice that's all. So the box I need is 4 cubic feet net so there's a box that's 3.5 cubic feet net instead of 4 that would be a better fit in my car would that make a huge difference (subs are 2 Uv2 12") should I go for the 4 or should I stay with the 3.5? Thank you to everyone that's been helping

I'd do the glue and screw because if you put in your subs they'll do it close to spec. The prefab won't be close to spec for your subs

Both of those boxes will lose air space once the subs go in. Probably lose .25 cubes and raise port tuning by 1-2 HZ. The GP box is going to be far superior over a prefab.
Both boxes already take in account the subs going I'm so the box is 3.50 cubic feet total after sub go in bc it's a true space box for the sundown SA-12V2 but not for the u series there very close in spec.

3.5 is a 12.% reduction and will work though up to 10% is the usual barometer. 4 cubes is optimal an unless you absolutely cannot make it work, the GP 4 cu box is best. Keep in mind that many (most) manufacturers usually recommend subwoofer boxes that are actually on the small side as it makes the fitment more desirable. When it comes to sub enclosures, bigger is usually better within reason. This is based on longstanding applied subwoofer enclosure design; It's physics and you cannot change that.

My subs are in sealed box but .2 cuft bigger or smaller than what I'm currently running makes a pretty big difference between soundng ok and sound great.

Thanks for the feedback. It was a long shot but there will definitely be much more powerful subs in the trunk, so clearing it out isn't an option...

I have confirmed through JL that these subs have just over 1inch xmech. As long as there is 1inch clearance in front of the front edge of the...
