Air Ride Technologies

cost a shit load and not worth the money. said and done.

Spoken like a true idiot.

You've obviously never used their products.

The best guys in the industry. Highly recommended.

Two vehicles are in my front yard with their products, and I prefer them over anything else, pre-packaged.

Saywhat has been shut down several times when it comes to suspension related discussions, feel free to ignore his blatent disregard of intelligence or experience on the subject.

bahahhahahaha your right best in the industry...IF you have the money. the kits they sell are extremely pricey. and i dont see paying 3 grand for an air ride setup. i can see 2 grand MAYBE as thats what mine will be when copletely bought.

Just shut it now. I'd HATE to bring up those older topics.

notice the keyword in there - 'WHEN' copletely bought.

He HASN'T even DONE an install, and yet he feels the need to drag a companies name through the mud?

Regardless, you get what you pay for, and those fellas are top notch.

They definitely have quality products, but with a little effort and knowledge you can make a d*mn good kit yourself for a fraction of the price, and get similar performance.

Consider Air Ride like JL, both are very good, but similar results can be had for less money. But if you got the cash and like to have the name, then you could get air ride.

get what you pay for.....your right. if u want bolt on bullshit then get air ride. and if u want bolt on, u want it for the wrong reasons. through the mud? they have been drug through plenty of it. i will say it again, its not worth the moeny. we can build a setup just as good for well under the price of air ride stuff. its good shit..........for those who have money. most people looking at air ride are broke *** mini truckers wanting to drag. but dont believe me.....i know nothing as you guys think.

Good to hear dude. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I had someone tell me they're reall advanced in thier technoology (digital I believe?) and that it's really great quality. Thanks, appreciated. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Trash talk all you like - for info on saywhat's previous comments about suspension - check out THIS

As for similar performance, I have used Air Ride, as well as contitech, AIM, EAI, firestone, slam specialties... and none even compare. there are various differences in performance( slams tend to ride the best with no adjustments, and have the most lift...) , but ride quality, there is only one way to go!

where i show i don't know anything, i dont see. If your speaking of the air over fluid deal.....i said its hybrid because thats how i refer to it, and we taught to call it. not to mention its not always OVER it per say, there are setups where the dro' part is behind a custom dash and shit. That is why i call it hybrid. ANYWAYS all in all that company is not worth the money you give them. The whole idea of spending almost 3000 on a KIT blows my mind.

My comments on this are, each to his own... You want to use all Generic stuff, fine.. Go ahead... He or other want to use stuff that more expensive or premium branded, fine. Go ahead...

Thats why there are so many brands, so each has their own choice...

I think both have their places and Niches....

But since you seem to be so in the know on Air and ""Dros"....

How would you set up a system to air out when the ride is turned off and Air back up when turned on?

Something reliable and not ghetto rigged?

Also, alot of people haven't installed airide or Dros on a lot of things or even anything...

Who else makes a system that pretty much plug in play for the valves, switches and guages?

Not eveyone is an expert, and this could be their 1st air setup... So you have to pay for features...

Lastly, I do think Air ride has some value in their pre engineered kits, such as their "Strong Arms" for the Chevy S-10 and other vehicles which includes Upper and lower bag mounts, relocated shock mounts, Upper and Lower Tubular A-arms that are designed to have an airbag in them and get as low as possible, not butchered like a lot of so called Pro jobs I've seen...

or one of the many 2,3, or 4 link kits they offer, such as ...

Air Over Leaf,

AirBar

Air4link

Roadgrater

and so on

Sure you could build them a bit cheaper, but this is a pre-packaged solution that comes with all the parts, bolts, fittings, instructions etc. etc.. thats needed to do the job...

Its been measured, planned, produced, and installed hundreds of times and is guranteed too work... vs. piece mealing a load of stuff and not really knowing...

So again, its each to their own...

It you want to break out a catalog from ""Billy Bob's Air and Dros"" and order 1500-2000.00+ of random parts to hope they all fit together and work as a system (which many have) or if you want to spend a bit more and buy a pre-engineered solution thats go all the R&D, tech support and a decent company behind it, then go for it...

Each person needs to figure out where they are and what fits them best...

im not sayin i know everything about it as i have little hands on experience with installs, but i do know enough to keep me alive in a somewhat detailed conversation lol. your right, they do have nice products, which i never said was untrue. im just sayin you can get the same for cheaper elsewhere. other than of course their "overload" kits i believe they are called.

if you cant figure what all fits together to run close to the best then i dont see you needing an air system. lines valves and bags all are straight forward so thats obvious as to what you need. if you dont know u need 2500 in the front and 2600 in the rear FOR MOST CASES ....you dont need bags. if you cant figure out how many of a certain size compressor you need for a certain size tank(s), you need to read up some. these are all basic deals that go in to a setup. if your speaking of links and all this, i just dont see an ameteur installing one him or herself period. all my bracketry and notches will be done by a shop, only to have it towed home for the rest. or have a friend do the welding. i just dont like seeing bolt on equipment period.
