Just so you know, you won't be able to operate air sanders with a $300 compressor. Sanders, and grinders are air hogs and will empty a 20 gallon tank in less than a 90 seconds.I'm in the market for an air compressor. My budget is about $300, maybe more if it comes with some decent tools. I won't be powering any heavy duty tools with it, just nailers, maybe an air sander. I'd like for it to be available at sears, lowes, or home depot, i don't want to have to order this thing.
anyone know of any good deals or anything?

I have this one and it's good for impacts, ratchets, painting, and general air applications:

I can handle you begging to differ. I'm just giving the guy the straight scoop on my experience with my compressor. Is your pump a single or dual stage? If it's a single, I doubt it could handle continuous grinding or sanding.i beg to differ....i got a kobalt 60 gallon from lowes for 299 around xmas time. a little under that actually because i got my 10% discount too. only thing it might have trouble with is a heavy DA sander.
