Afternoon trip (TL score and new subs..pics included)

So today I got metered on the TL for the FIRST time. My setup is in my sig (18 on 2k), and I had no deadner and my electrical isnt that great. I did a burp but forgot what at what hz it was cause I let the guy do all of it. Also told me my box was tuned to 35hz and I thought it was 29-30hz lol. Anyways, came out to a 145.xx with meter in the kick and driver door open. I guess thats alright for what it was. The box is CRAMMED in the single cab.

Also...I traded my AQ2200 for some freshley reconed Cadence daytona 12s. I hear they are pretty beastly, guess I'll find out. The guy also threw in the box that he hit 151 on them with 2k watts with LOTS of wire. The box has 45s in the corners but seems to need a double baffle. So now im sitting with 2 12s and an 18..dunno what's next.

What vehicle? I just kept my settings the same on my amp that I had them at for daily. It couldve been louder if I adjusted them once I knew that i was tuned about 5hz higher than I thought. Also prob. wouldve been louder if the meter was on my windshield

Im sure its legit...but dunno about the specs. I can take measurements though. It was in his S-10 extended cab on a db drive 2kw amp, he said.

Single baffle, no bracing......that must be the magic way to get 151 with two 12''s and 2k.

name was Kimon, works at audiodepot in arlington. He said he was using a DB Drive 2k and it was prob. at .5 ohm since the subs are D1

next time get a legal score,sealed up on the dash. please brace the baffle.

the db drive 2000.1's put out right around 3k on good voltage...

I assume your vehicle peaked at 35Hz, doesn't mean your box isn't tuned to 29-30hz...

Yeah I want to experiment with doors/windows open and having the mic placed in different spots, but just did a quick score when I was there.

Pretty sure he said my box was tuned to 35hz, maybe I misunderstood.

Well if the db drive puts out 3k, then a 151 is much more beleiveable.

151 is possible w/2k w/ door open and in the kick. sealed legal on the dash, very doubtful
