Factory premium stereo in a newer car eh? You're looking at some hard times brah. If I remember correctly that factory stereo also puts out door chimes and is on a databus with the car. I'm pretty sure you have a factory amp powering those speakers too so changing the headunit won't make them sound better - they'll only sound different. Here are some of the interfaces that you'll need...

For the best results you should replace the headunit, amp and all the speakers. You'll need to get one of those interfaces to replace the headunit so your car won't go dumb and cause electrical problems. You'll need to run all new wires for all the speakers and new power wires for the headunit and amps. The remote turn-on lead can be tapped from the steering column or the fuse box.

ok, i was planning on swapping out the radio, putting in new speakers all around and running new wires to each of them off a alpine multichannel amp. which harness would i need to get? there were a bunch listed.

If your car doesn't have On-star then you need the C2R-GM24, if you do then you need OS-2C.

By the way how do the Grand Prix like the 22s? Does it feel slower or making weird noises?

oh ok, thanks a lot man....the GP is fine with the rims, only time they rub is when ur backing up and u turn the wheel all the way. i DO hear noises sometimes but idk if its from the rims, i just got the car 2 weeks ago so this is all new to me. the car is still very fast with the rims on, cant even tell they're on half the time.
