After deadining the trunk lid....

You have a shiny silver trunk lid. How do you go about hiding this? Do you use wood screwed on, fiberglass, or just some cloth/carpet that is glued on?

I've seen tons of step by step pics on how to deaden a trunk, but I never see the process behind finishing it up and hiding all the deadener. Any pics/tips would be appreciated.

nope, my trunk lid is just painted sheet metal and nothing else.

Anyway you can see in the pic the trunk lid is completely bare metal. I was thinking if the trunk lid is straight enough I can just put a thinner piece of carpeted wood over it or something.

P.S. that amp is for sale, Cadence ZRS-9 2000W RMS @ 1ohm with remote, $325 + shipping

and I know i need to custom make a trim panel, I'm just wondering out of what and what is the process for attaching it.

MDF seems like it would get heavy and be difficult to work with for that application, and that would take a lot of fiberglass to cover the area...
