Aeroport curiosity

On a side note, the lowest you can tune with 3 stock full length(17") aeroports is 36hz. With a pair of aeros full length you can crush the lows with a tuning between 29-30hz.
Although the spec say 17in is max length, You can get 19 inches of legnth from precision ports and acheive lower tuning.

An extra 2" is only a drop of 1.5hz anyways. I just prefer low tuned boxes myself. When you have capable midbass drivers being fed a lot of power and in deadened/sealed doors, you really don't need a sub to play over 50-60hz or so, so the typical lack of upper end response in a low(25-30hz) tuned box really isn't an issue most of the time.

I don't like crazy amount of midbass. IMO, a sub shouldn't play over 50-60 hz in the first place. That's why I was tuning DD's and AQ's to 30 hz.
