Three 6" ports is plenty for two 15s.

If you add four 6" areo ports to 8.5 cubic feet of airspace tuned to 38Hz; each one will need to be 20" as stated earlier. Also Remember, you need to account for their displacement.

566 cubic inches each x 4 = 2264/1728 = say 1.32ish including plastic.

Then ad .2 for each woofer (my guess) and you get a total of around 10 cubes not including any bracing.

(which you really need for this type of box)

Another major point is that these 20" ports will need to mount in a location (ports back as you stated) with a nice 30" or more mounting depth. Way over the port diameter between the interior port opening and the wall.

Also I agree that only 3 are needed and they can be 14" each.

I don't think aero's are louder than slots, but they're much easier to work with and design.

but agreed, they are worth every penny for how simple they are to work with.

I don't think it will make an audible difference. The only difference with having the ports mounted in vs. out, and the displacement each individual port is taking up. Having the ports inside also "Looks" more normal, then 4 of these 18 inch deals hanging out your box.

i was told 4 6" aeros is best

4 6'' aero's is 112 sq inches of port.

Aero ports are more efficient and you wont need any more than (3) 6'' ports

Also keep in mind the more port area you have the longer the ports will need to be when tuning it.
